Join Cheryl Williams, certified Master Gardener and owner of 40 Day Living Urban Farm and Plant Nursery, for an informative session on starting seeds indoors. Learn the best practices for growing your own plants from seed, tailored to Maryland’s climate. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just getting started, this indoor seed starting workshop offers a quick, yet detailed dive into the anatomy of seeds, how to increase germination rates, setting up an indoor growing station and why starting seeds indoors is a good practice for producing strong, healthy transplants in Maryland. Get ready to start your garden on the right foot this season!

Cheryl Williams is a certified Master Gardener and owner of 40 Day Communications & 40 Day Living, an Urban Farm and Plant Nursery specializing in horticultural multimedia production. She enjoys documenting plants, DIY landscaping and horticultural design, educating others about the joys of growing their own food and is excited to share her expertise with the local community through workshops and hands-on learning experiences.

Interested in trying to grow your own food? Join the Prince George’s Soil Conservation District at one of the stops on its Spring Seedling Giveaway Tour!
