The Prince George’s Soil Conservation District has partnered with the Maryland Association of Conservation Districts (MASCD) to host a 2022 coloring contest for elementary school students.

There will be three classes:

Class A: Kindergarten & 1st Grades

Class B: 2nd & 3rd Grades
-
Class C: 4th & 5th Grades
Coloring must be done by the participating child with wax crayons only (nothing else). Judging will be based on neatness, attention to detail, and how well the directions were followed. Each child must fill out the block on the back of their entry or attach a 3×5 card with the contestant’s information:
- Name
- Address
- Age
- Grade
- Class
- County
- Home Phone Number
The winners in first place for each class will receive a $25.00 gift card. Second-place winners will each receive a $10.00 gift card.
Winners of the state contest will have their work submitted for the Annual MASCD Summer Meeting for judging against all county winners on August 30, 2022. Afterward, the winner of the state contest will receive a mailed $25.00 cash prize.
Entries received that do not have all of the required information will be disqualified and not displayed for judging at MASCD.
